St Benoit Du Sault is one of the Plus Beaux villages of France, built on a rocky hill above the river Portofuille and situated in the Deep South west of Indre. It is ideally situated to visit the departments of the Loire, Charante and Limousin.

Maison Joly dates from the XVI Century and adjoins the old fortified wall. As a solid stone property it offers throughout the summer months a cool alternative to the outside temperatures. During 2006, forty four degrees was recorded in St Benoit Du Sault, although this was unusual temperatures often reach into the mid 30s.
